Ashim Nandi received his M.Sc. in Chemistry from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, in 2015. He then pursued a Ph.D. in Computational Physical Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Sebastian Kozuch at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, completing it in 2021. Subsequently, he was a Dean's Excellence Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Professor Gershom Martin (2023 Schrödinger Medalist) at the Weizmann Institute of Science (2021–2022) and as a Research Associate with Professor Arieh Warshel (2013 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry) at the University of Southern California (2022–2025). In 2025, he began his independent career as an Assistant Professor in the School of Chemical and Materials Sciences (Chemistry) at the Indian Institute of Technology Goa.
